BRIAN
BENTZEN - BNI AREA DIRECTOR / THE SAC CHEF
Chapters: Gold Rush and Placerville.
Home Chapter: El Dorado Hills
Brian
is known as The Sac Chef.
He does small event catering and cooking classes
within the central valley. He
loves to cook and he loves to teach others to cook at
his cooking classes.
Brian first joined BNI Sacramento in February of 2007
and then moved to the El Dorado Hills Chapter the next
year as a way to increase his visibility. Brian
realized that BNI presented the best opportunity to
grow his business and directly help more people in
Northern California
Then in Fall of 2008 he took the President’s position.
During his term as President, he grew the chapter by
doubling the size from 20 to over 40 members. The El
Dorado Hills chapter is one
of the largest BNI chapters
in the region and continues to grow both in quantity,
but more importantly in quality. They have been
recognized as a Silver
level chapter and they won
both the 2008 and
2009 Founders awards
as being one of the top 10% of all BNI chapters
nationwide. His leadership team has implemented
numerous new measures that have dramatically improved
the production and energy of his chapter. Brian
became a BNI Area Director in June 2009 and is the BNI
Visitor Day Project Manager within the BNI Central
Valley.
Brian is legally unmarried but has been living with
his partner, Scott, since 2001. They have a 12yr
old, 24 pound “PHAT”
cat named Meeko. That is PHAT with a PH! He enjoys
spending time, boating, reading and of course cooking.
Brian is also a Massage therapist. He was born
in Boston but moved to California as a child and was
raised in Marin Co. He completed his Bachelors and
Masters in Psychology at Sac State.
The keys to his success can be summed up in three
words:
Visibility, Credibility and
Pampering…..
