have a story to tell you. I’ve always been
scared to speak in front of groups. It’s
been a struggle in my career, as well.
Recently, I had a presentation to make to my
sister in front of our family, friends and
the U.S. Air Force because she was retiring
after 30 years of service. I was very
nervous because I wanted to say the right
things and only had a minute or two to
express myself. I told my sister before the
ceremony started, “It’ll be O.K. because I
will just pretend I’m giving a BNI
infomercial!” When I was introduced I got
up and gave a perfect presentation to my
sister and said what I wanted to say, and
even enjoyed it. I was pretty proud of the
job I had done! I really feel it was the
BNI training that I’ve had that helped me do
so well to honor my sister on her day. My
